Pare
The Pare (pronounced “Pahray”) are an  ethnic group who inhabit the Pare Mountains which is part of the Kilimanjaro Administrative Region. Pareland is also known as Vuasu (Asu the root word and Chasu or Athu, the language). The area was very strategic as one of the northern routes of the East African long distance trade connecting the hinterland with the Indian ocean coast.

Parè is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 40 km northwest of Milan and about 6 km west of Como, on the border with Switzerland.
