The Panthéon (Latin Pantheon, from Greek Pantheon, meaning "All the Gods") is a building in the Latin Quarter in Paris, France. It was originally built as a church dedicated to St. Genevieve, but after many changes now combines liturgical functions with its role as a famous burial place. It is an early example of Neoclassicism, with a façade modelled on the Pantheon in Rome, surmounted by a small dome that owes some of its character to Bramante's "Tempietto". Located in the Ve arrondissement on the top of Montagne Sainte-Geneviève, the Panthéon looks out over all of Paris. Its architect, Jacques-Germain Soufflot, had the intention of combining the lightness and brightness of the gothic cathedral with classical principles. Unfortunately, Soufflot died before his work was achieved, and his plans were not entirely followed. The transparency he had planned for his masterpiece was not attained. Nevertheless, it is one of the most important architectural achievements of its time and the first great neoclassical monument.

Le Panthéon est un monument de style néo-classique situé sur la montagne Sainte-Geneviève, dans le 5 arrondissement de Paris, au cœur du quartier latin. Il est entouré notamment par l'église Saint-Étienne-du-Mont, la bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, l'université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne), l'université de Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), la mairie du 5 arrondissement et le lycée Henri-IV. La rue Soufflot lui dessine une perspective à partir du jardin du Luxembourg.

Pantheon (von griechisch παν pan „alles“ und θεός theós „Gott“) ist der antike Name für ein allen Göttern geweihtes Heiligtum.Diese Vorstellung stammt aus dem Umfeld der sumerischen, griechischen und manichäischen Mythologie und wird bald mit einem konkreten Ort bzw. Tempel verbunden. In letzterem Sinne wurde die Vorstellung in die römische Welt übertragen. Da das Pantheon in Rom das einzige gut erhaltene Pantheon als Bauwerk ist, ist es zum Inbegriff für weitere Bauwerke mit einer ähnlichen Funktion geworden.

Das Panthéon (v. griech.: pan = alle + theós = Gott) auf dem Hügel der Heiligen Genoveva in Paris (5. Arrdt.) ist die Grabstätte berühmter französischer Persönlichkeiten. Das Gebäude wurde, ursprünglich als Kirche der mächtigen Abtei Sainte-Geneviève gedacht, im Auftrag von König Ludwig XV. in den Jahren 1764 bis 1790 von dem Architekten Jacques-Germain Soufflot (1713–1780) und seinen Schülern errichtet, nach der Vollendung aber von den Führern der Revolution zu einer nationalen Ruhmeshalle erklärt.

Panteon (fr. Panthéon), budowla w Dzielnicy Łacińskiej w Paryżu.Król Francji Ludwik XV poprzysiągł wznieść świątynię wartą patronki Paryża (świętej Genowefy) w miejsce zrujnowanego kościoła w zamian za przywrócenie zdrowia. Realizacja tego przedsięwzięcia spadła na markiza Marigny, który wybrał swojego znajomego Jacquesa Germaina Soufflota. Fundamenty pod tę monumentalną świątynię położono w roku 1758, ale ostateczne ukończenie zostało wykonane przez ucznia Soufflota, Jean-Baptiste'a Rondeleta w roku 1789.

Il Pantheon di Parigi (fr. Panthéon de Paris) è un monumento situato nella capitale francese nel cuore del Quartiere latino (V arrondissement), in cima alla montagne Sainte-Geneviève. È circondato dalla chiesa Saint-Étienne-du-Mont, dalla biblioteca Sainte-Geneviève, dalla Sorbona, ed altri edifici monumentali. Particolarmente suggestiva è la vista da rue Soufflot, vicino ai Giardini del Lussemburgo.
