パンツ

パンツ（pants）衣服のボトムスのうち、2本に分かれた筒に片脚ずつを入れて穿く形のもの。詳しくはズボンの項を参照。スラックスなどとも呼ぶ。英語では「trousers（トラウザース）」。明治時代には「洋袴」とも呼んだ。下半身に付ける下着（ショーツ）の意味。本項目ではこちらを詳述する。上記2つの意味で使われるため、どちらの意味で使われているか、文脈などから判断しなければならない。下着は「パンツ」、ズボンは「パンツ」と発音して区別する場合もある。区別するため下着のパンツを特に「アンダーパンツ」と呼ぶこともある。
