Pandey (Dev. ; also ) is a
surname found mostly among the
Brahmin caste communities of
Nepal and
India. As derived form the Sanskrit word “Pundit”, Pandey (Hindu Priest) Brahmins were the most knowledgeable person of Hindu culture, and expert of all four Vedas. Usually, away form the populated areas such as town or village; there ancestors were mostly involved in practicing “Dhyan” “Tantra”, “Mantra”, and “Yoga” in forested or mountainous areas.
