Der OTC-Handel, auch außerbörslicher Handel, bezeichnet finanzielle Transaktionen zwischen Finanzmarkt-Teilnehmern, die nicht über die Börse abgewickelt werden. OTC steht dabei für den englischen Begriff "Over The Counter", was mit "über den Tresen" übersetzt werden kann. Der OTC-Handel heißt auf Deutsch Telefonhandel, auch wenn er heute überwiegend auf elektronischem Wege abläuft.

Over-the-counter (zkratka OTC) je typem usporádání trhu s cennými papíry. Pokud jsou nejáké cenné papíry obchodovány „OTC“, znamená to, že jejich obchodování neprobíhá pod záštitou oficiální instituce, která by vykonávala dohled nad trhem a prebírala by odpovednost za vyporádání dohodnutých obchodu. Úcastníci obchodu tak vyjednávají o podmínkách kontraktu prímo mezi sebou. Podmínky kontraktu vetšinou nejsou standardizovány a i podstupované riziko obou stran je obecne vyšší než na organizované burze cenných papíru. Tato organizace trhu je uplatnována predevším pri obchodování se swapy.
