Enochian angels entities as expressed in the
Enochian magic system, introduced by
John Dee (1507-1608) and
Edward Kelley (1555-1597) in the
16th century. John Dee was dedicated to the newly-formed
Church of England (or the Anglican Faith), and this can be seen throughout his journals and his "Enochian" system of Angel Magick. Therein, we find an obvious belief in the
Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). We also find a fourth Supreme Being in the figure of "Galvah" (Omega)- who is also called the Mother, Wisdom and "I AM" in Dee's journals. This figure is known in Judaism as the
Shekhinah- Divine Presence; to the Gnostics as
Sophia- Wisdom; to the Hermetic Qabalah as Aima Elohim- Mother of the Gods; and to Catholicism as
Mary, Mother of God.
