On Line
On-line and off-line
The terms on-line and off-line have specific meanings with respect to computer technology and
telecommunication. The concepts have however been extended from their computing and telecommunication meanings into the area of human interaction and conversation.

on-line
Adjective

Internet. E.g "I haven't been on-line for three days."
"On-line" should be hyphenated because it is compounded from two words but the hyphen is often omitted in names of organisations or services.
