An ocean (; the World Ocean of classical antiquity) is a body of saline water that composes a large part of a planet's hydrosphere. In the context of Earth, it also refers to major divisions of the planet's World Ocean, such as the Atlantic Ocean. The word "sea" is often used interchangeably with "ocean", but a sea is a body of saline water (possibly a division of the World Ocean) in a more location.

Océan is a department of South Province in Cameroon. The department covers an area of 11,280 km² and as of 2001 had a total population of 133,062. The capital of the department lies at Kribi.

Der Ozean (Plural die Ozeane, von („Ozean“, der die Erdscheibe umfließende Weltstrom, Personifikation als antiker Gott Okeanos)) bezeichnet die größten Meere der Erde. Synonym und als Übertragung im Deutschen auch Weltmeer.

Un océan est représenté, en géographie, par une vaste étendue d'eau salée. En réalité il s'agit plutôt d'un volume, dont l'eau est en permanence renouvelée par des courants marins. En ocean (från grekiskans Ὠκεανὸς, "okeanos") är en större havsvattensamling, och en större del av hydrosfären. Runt 71 procent av Jordens yta (ungefär 361 000 000 kvadratkilometer) täcks av oceaner, ett världshav som vanligtvis delas in i flera större oceaner och mindre hav. Fem oceaniska indelningar görs ofta; Stilla havet, Atlanten, Indiska oceanen, Norra ishavet och Antarktiska oceanen. De två sista sammanslås emellanåt med de första tre.

Ocean (łac. Oceanus, Okeanos - u starożytnych Greków i Rzymian mityczna rzeka oblewająca cały świat, także nazwa jej boga) – wielka część  hydrosfery ziemskiej, stanowiąca rozległy obszar słonej wody.
