Obolus
The obolus (ancient Greek: ὀβολός "obolós", plural: ὀβολοί "oboloí") is a Greek silver coin worth a sixth of a drachma. In Classical Athens it was subdivided into eight chalkoi (χαλκοί "copper pieces"). Two obols made a diobol, weighing around 1.41-1.43 grams of silver. Triobols were also in use.

Obolus
Ein Obolus (altgriechisch ὀβολός, Plural ὀβολοί - obolós, Pl. oboloí, deutsch „Spieß, Bratspieß“) war im antiken Griechenland eine geringwertige Münze mit einem Wert von 8 Chalkoi. Sechs Obolen hatten den Gegenwert einer Drachme. 6.000 Drachmen stellten den Gegenwert eines attischen Talents dar.

Obol
Obol (łac. obolus, grec. Οβολός) - drobna moneta, w starożytnej Grecji równa 1/6 drachmy, w średniowieczu równa 1/2 denara (półdenar).
W starożytnej Grecji występowały monety o różnych wielokrotnościach obola:
- tetrobol - 4 obole (oboloi)
- triobol, tribobol (hemidrachma) - 3 obole
- diobol - 2 obole
- obol
- trihemiobol - 1 ½ obola
- tritartemorion - 3/4 obola
- hemiobol - 1/2 obola
- trihemitartemorion - 3/8 obola
- tetartemorion - 1/4 obola
- hemitartemorion - 1/8 obola ( = 1 chalk )
