nominative-accusative language

A nominative-accusative language (or simply accusative language) is one that marks the direct object of transitive verbs distinguishing them from the subject of both transitive and intransitive verbs.If the language has morphological case, then the direct object is marked with a case conventionally known as "accusative", while the subject is marked with another case called "nominative". If there's no case marking, the language can resort to word order (for example, the subject comes before the verb and the object comes after it, as in English).

Akkusativsprachen verwenden für das Agens-Argument (Subjekt) von transitiven und das Subjekt von intransitiven Verben denselben Fall, nämlich den Nominativ. Für das Patiens-Argument (Objekt) von transitiven Verben wird ein anderer Fall verwendet, nämlich der Akkusativ. Dies gilt zum Beispiel für romanische und germanische Sprachen.

Una lengua nominativo-acusativa (o simplemente acusativa) es aquella lengua que marca el objeto directo de los verbos transitivos y los distingue del sujeto tanto de los verbos transitivos como de los intransitivos.Si la lengua tiene casos, el objeto directo se marca con el caso acusativo, mientras que el sujeto se marca con el caso nominativo. Si no existe marca de caso, la lengua emplea el orden de las palabras (como en el inglés, lengua en la que el sujeto aparece antes que el verbo y el objeto después).

Ackusativa språk (eller tydligare nominativ-ackusativa språk) kallas de språk som grupperar subjekt för sig och objekt för sig, både i  transitiva och intransitiva fraser. Svenskan är, liksom de flesta andra språken i Europa, ett exempel på ett ackusativt språk.
