NOMAD
NOMAD was founded in 2002 as an independent formation and registered as association in 2006. It targets to produce and experiment new patterns in the digital art sphere by using various lenses of other disciplines. The core of the formation consists of designers, engineers, architects, curators and writers. The infrastructure is based on technical and theoretical levels to provide collaborations with affiliations of artists. NOMAD's production network aims to build strong connections across territorial borders through digital culture oriented projects. The main goal of these projects is to establish a productive communication channel that enables access to new resources of information. The core development team consists of Basak Senova, Emre Erkal, Erhan Muratoglu. [1]  Project ctrl_alt_del was the first sound art festival realized in Turkey, in September 2003. It was a collaboration between NOMAD, Marres, Hedah, and Istanbul Technical University Center for Advanced Musical Studies (MIAM). All through the month of September 2003, several events were realized in two cities, Istanbul and Maastricht: (i) an introductory presentation, a CD launch, performances by two artists from the Netherlands and Turkey in Marres (Maastricht); (ii) a panel and workshop series at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture and MIAM; (iii) a series of performances in Babylon, Istanbul during the opening of the 8th International Istanbul Biennial; (iv) a panel, and performance series at Marres; (v) an exhibition at Marres; (vi) an audio CD which was distributed in Europe through Lowlands, and the international distribution of the CD-ROM was carried out by NOMAD. ctrl_alt_del aimed at introducing Turkey to sound-art via sound-art’s pioneering names, together with panels and workshops. More than 30 people from 16 different countries contributed to the project in 2003.

Nomad
A nomad (, nomas, plural νομάδες, nomades; meaning one roaming about for pasture, pastoral tribe), is a member of a community of people who live in different locations, moving from one place to another. Among the various ways Nomads relate to their environment, one can distinguish the hunter-gatherer, the pastoral nomad owning livestock, or the "modern" peripatetic nomad. As of 1995, there were an estimated 30–40 million nomads in the world.

Nomade
Nomaden (van het Oudgrieks νομάδες nomades: herdersvolken, degenen die kudden weiden onder meer Herodotus) zijn mensen of bevolkingsgroepen die geen vaste woon- of verblijfplaats hebben en doorgaans mee met hun vee rondtrekken. Bij uitbreiding wordt de term toegepast op verschillende soorten leefwijzen:
  1. jager-verzamelaars die tussen jachtgronden reizen
  2. pastorale nomaden in de eigenlijke betekenis van het woord, die met hun vee tussen weidegronden reizen. Dit zijn de nomaden in oorspronkelijke zin (νομή = (Grieks) weide, νομεύειν = weiden, laten grazen, hoeden)
  3. nomaden die tussen de verblijfplaatsen van hun klanten reizen, zoals sommige zigeuners, een latere ontwikkelingsvorm

Nomade
Als Nomaden (altgr.  nomás, „weidend“, „herumschweifend“) werden im engeren Sinn Menschen bezeichnet, die aufgrund ökonomischer Gründe eine nicht sesshafte Lebensweise führen. Zumeist bilden die Wanderbewegungen gleichbleibende Zyklen, die u. a. durch extreme klimatische Bedingungen oder Tierwanderungen notwendig werden, um den Lebensunterhalt über das ganze Jahr zu sichern. Die Übertragung des Begriffes auf ganze Gesellschaften ist problematisch: Häufig sind „nomadische Gesellschaften" nicht homogen, es gibt z. B. auch permanente Dörfer oder zeitweise Sesshaftigkeit in Städten. Überdies wird dadurch die Eigenbegrifflichkeit dieser Ethnien ignoriert

عشاير

عشاير: به کسي که به جامعه عشايري تعلق دارد عشاير گفته مي شود. جامعه عشايري شيوه زيستي متفاوت و جداي از شيوه زيست شهري و شيوه زيست روستايي است .بنابر اين جامعه عشايري عبارت است از جامعه انساني نسبتا خود اتکاو خود بسنده اي که ساخت اجتماعي قبيله اي داردو عمومآ زندگي خود را از دامداري اداره مي‌کنند. واژه عشاير بيشتر در فارسي و در مورد ايل‌هاي کوچنده در ايران به کار مي‌رود. عشاير در قديم در تعيين حکومت ها نقش اساسي داشته اندو اکثر خاندان هاو سلسله هاي حاکم بر ايران خاستگاه عشايري داشته اند .عشاير تقريباً نيروهاي اصلي جنگي ايران را تشکيل مي‌داده‌اند. شيوه زيست عشايري اصطلاحات و ادبيات خاص خود را باز تعريف کرده و به عنوان جامعه سوم در ايران مطرح است.بعضي ازاصطلاحاتي که مشتق از واژه عشايري است عبارتند از:
عشاير اسکان يافته: خانوارهاي عشايري که تمامي اعضاي آن در يک مکان، سکونت ثابت اختيار کرده و کوچ نمي‌کنند اما با توجه به حفظ برخي مناسبات اقتصادي (مالکيت و حقوق بهره‌برداري از مراتع و منابع قلمرو) و فرهنگي ـ اجتماعي (احساس تعلق به ايل و عشيره) خود را عضو ايل، طايفه و ... تلقي مي‌کنند.
