Bhutanese ngultrum
The ngultrum (ISO 4217 code BTN) (Dzongkha: ) has been the currency of Bhutan since 1974. It is subdivided into 100 chhertum (called chetrums on coins until 1979).

Ngultrum
Ngultrum (Nu - dNgul Tam) är den valuta som används i Bhutan i Asien. Valutakoden är BTN. 1 Ngultrum = 100 chhertum (tidigare chetrum). Valutan infördes 1974 och ersatte den tidigare indiska rupeen. Den har en fast växelkurs till 1 INR (indisk rupee), det vill säga 1 BTN = 1 INR och Ngultrum gäller i princip endast i Bhutan. Valutan ges ut av National Bank of Bhutan Limited - BNBL som ombildades 1996 och har huvudkontoret i Thimphu.

Ngultrum
Ngultrum jest oficjalną walutą Bhutanu, wprowadzoną w 1974, sztywno związaną z rupią indyjską w stosunku 1:1, która także jest legalnym środkiem płatniczym w Bhutanie. Ngultrum jest akceptowany w tych stanach Indii, które graniczą z Bhutanem, lecz nie jest akceptowany w pozostałej części Indii.

Ngultrum nie ma bezpośrednich kursów z innymi walutami, a wszystkie transakcje walutowe dokonywane są za pośrednictwem rupii indyjskiej.

W obiegu występują monety o nominałach: 5†, 10†, 25, 50 czetrum oraz 1 ngultrum, a także banknoty o nominałach: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 oraz 500 ngultrum.
