Nero
Nero (Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus); 15 December 37 – 9 June 68) was Roman Emperor from 54 to 68, and the last in the Julio-Claudian dynasty. Nero was adopted by his great-uncle Claudius to become his heir and successor, and succeeded to the throne in 54 following Claudius' death. During his reign, Nero focused much of his attention on diplomacy, trade, and enhancing the cultural life of the Empire. He ordered theaters built and promoted athletic games. During his reign, the redoubtable general Corbulo conducted a successful war and negotiated peace with the Parthian Empire. His general Suetonius Paulinus crushed a revolt in Britain and also annexed the Bosporan Kingdom to the Empire, beginning the First Roman–Jewish War.

Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus (* 15. Dezember 37 in Antium, heute Anzio; † 9. oder 11. Juni 68 bei Rom) war von 54 bis 68 Kaiser des Römischen Reiches. Er sah sich selbst als Künstler und war der letzte Vertreter der julisch-claudischen Dynastie.

Nero (Begriffsklärung)
Nero war ein Beiname (Cognomen) im antiken Rom, der bei den Claudiern gebräuchlich war. Laut Sueton (Tiberius 1, 2) stammte er aus dem Sabinischen und bedeutete „stark“ und „tatkräftig“ (fortis ac strenuus); der Name könnte aber auch etruskischer Herkunft sein. Bekannteste Träger des Beinamens waren die claudischen Kaiser bzw. Heerführer

Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, född Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus, född 15 december 37 i Antium, död 9 juni 68 i Rom, var den femte romerske kejsaren från 13 oktober 54 till sin död. Han var son till kejsar Claudius sista maka Agrippina d.y. (kejsar Caligulas syster) och hennes make i första äktenskapet, Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus.

Neron (Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus a po adopcji przez Klaudiusza Tiberius Claudius Nero Caesar Drusus Germanicus, ur. 15 grudnia 37 w Ancjum - zm. 9 czerwca 68 w Rzymie) - cesarz rzymski w latach 54 - 68, syn Gnejusza Domicjusza Ahenobarbusa i Agrypiny Młodszej - późniejszej żony cesarza Klaudiusza.
Wychowanek Seneki Młodszego, wbrew powszechnie panującej opinii (będącej "zasługą" wybitnego historyka Tacyta) posiadał duży talent poetycki i aktorski. Cesarz rzymski od 54 roku, kiedy to jego matka otruła swojego męża i przejęła władzę. Oficjalna tytulatura cesarska: Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus. Neron odsunął później matkę od wpływów, a w końcu, w 59 roku, zlecił jej zamordowanie. W 62 roku Neron poślubił Poppeę, która poprzednio była żoną Rufriusa Crispinusa, a następnie Othona - przyjaciela Nerona. Poppea była kochanką Nerona już od 58. Zmarła w 66 roku, według Swetoniusza w wyniku kopnięcia zadanego przez małżonka, gdy była w ciąży.
