Ney
The ney (; ; ; also nai, nye, nay, gagri tuiduk, or karghy tuiduk ) is an end-blown flute that figures prominently in Middle Eastern music. In some of these musical traditions, it is the only wind instrument used. The ney has been played continuously for 4,500–5,000 years, making it one of the oldest musical instruments still in use.

Yiddish dialects
Yiddish dialects are varieties of the Yiddish language. These dialects are divided by originating region in Europe. Northeastern "Litvish" Yiddish was dominant in twentieth-century Yiddish culture and academia, while Southern dialects of Yiddish are now the most commonly spoken, preserved by many Hasidic communities. The principal differences between the dialects are found in the quality of stressed vowels, for instance Litvish zogn, Polish zugn 'to say'.

Die Nay oder Ney (je nach Umschrift; persisch bzw. ) ist eine Längsflöte, die in der persischen, arabischen und türkischen Musik verwendet wird und im wesentlichen nur aus einem offenen Rohr des Pfahlrohrs (botanische Bezeichnung ) besteht.

Ney (musique)
Le ney (persan ou turc), nay, naï ou nai (arabe) est une flûte oblique à embouchure terminale en roseau, originaire d'Asie centrale, dont les plus anciennes formes datent de l'âge des pyramides (représentation sur des peintures tombales égyptiennes vers 3000-2500 av. J.-C.).
