Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+ or in older notation DPN+) is an important coenzyme found in cells. It plays key roles as a carrier of electrons and a participant in metabolic redox reactions, as well as in cell signaling. There are two forms of this coenzyme in cells, NAD+ and the phosphorylated form NADP⁺. These two related coenzymes have similar chemistry, but perform different roles in metabolism. When both coenzymes are being discussed, they are referred to collectively as NAD(P)+.

Le Nicotinamide adénine dinucléotide abrégé en NAD est une coenzyme d'oxydoréduction présent dans toutes les cellules vivantes. Le composé est un dinucléotide, puisqu'il est composé de deux nucléotides liés par leurs groupes phosphate. Un des nucléotides contient une adénine tandis que l'autre contient un nicotinamide. Dans le métabolisme, le NAD+ est impliqué dans les réactions redox en transportant des électrons. Cette coenzyme est présente sous deux formes dans la cellule. NAD+ est un agent d'oxydation et NADH est un agent de réduction. Le transfert d'électron est la principale fonction du NADH.

Albert Nađ (auch: Albert Nadj, kyrillisch: Алберт Нађ, ungarisch Nagy Albert) (* 29. Oktober 1974 in Zemun, Serbien) ist ein serbischer Fußballspieler ungarischer Abstammung.Der 1,74 m große und 72 kg schwere defensive Mittelfeldspieler verbrachte die meisten Jahre seiner Karriere bei FK Partizan Belgrad. Zwischendurch war er jedoch auch in Spanien bei Real Oviedo, FC Elche und Betis Sevilla beschäftigt.Sein erstes Länderspiel bestritt er am 23. Dezember 1994 gegen Brasilien. Es folgten weitere 40 Einsätze, bei denen er insgesamt 3 Tore zählte. Im Jahre 1998 gehörte er zum Team, das sich für die WM in Frankreich qualifizierte, wurde jedoch dann nicht nominiert, weil er sich weigerte, die ihm zugewiesene Position einzunehmen. Im Jahre 2000 nahm er mit Jugoslawien an der Fußball-Europameisterschaft in Belgien und den Niederlanden teil. 2006 gehörte er wieder zur serbisch-montenegrinischen Mannschaft für die WM in Deutschland.

Nicotinamidadenindinukleotid, eigentlich Nicotinsäureamid-Adenin-Dinucleotid (abgekürzt NAD) ist ein  Hydridionen (Zwei-Elektronen/Ein-Protonen) übertragendes Koenzym, das an zahlreichen Redoxreaktionen des Stoffwechsels der Zelle beteiligt ist.Von der IUPAC/IUBMB werden die Abkürzungen NAD+ für die oxidierte Form, NADH für die reduzierte Form und NAD im Allgemeinen vorgeschlagen. Zuweilen findet man allerdings noch NAD statt NAD+ und NADH2 statt NADH.Das Koenzym war in der älteren Fachliteratur bis zu den frühen 60er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts auch unter der Bezeichnung Diphosphopyridinnucleotid, abgekürzt DPN, oder unter den Namen Codehydrogenase I oder Coenzym I bekannt. Im Gegensatz zum Nicotinamidadenindinucleotidphosphat (NADP+), einem sonst fast gleich gebauten Coenzym, fehlt ihm ein Phosphat-Rest am Adenosin – und zwar am 2'C-Atom der Ribose – des Dinucleotids.
