monothéisme

Un monothéisme (du grec μονός [monos], « seul, unique » et θεός [theos], « dieu ») est une doctrine religieuse ou philosophique qui affirme :l'existence d'un seul dieu (par opposition à l'hénothéisme et au polythéisme) ce dieu étant éventuellement transcendant c'est-à-dire distinct du monde (par opposition alors au panthéisme)

Monotheïsme (van het Grieks μονος (monos): één en θεος (theos): god) is het geloof in het bestaan van één God, in tegenstelling met het polytheïsme waarbij men in het bestaan van meer goden gelooft. Een vroege monotheïst was Akhenaten, een Egyptische farao uit de 18e dynastie. Hij schafte alle goden af behalve de zonnegod Aton, waarvan hij geloofde dat het zijn herrezen vader (Amenothep III) was.
