Molecule
A molecule is an electrically neutral group of two or more atoms held together by covalent chemical bonds. Molecules are distinguished from ions by their lack of electrical charge. However, in quantum physics, organic chemistry, and biochemistry, the term molecule is often used less strictly, also being applied to polyatomic ions.

Molekül
Moleküle [] (älter auch: Molekel []; von lat. molecula, „kleine Masse“) sind im weiten Sinn zwei- oder mehratomige Teilchen, die durch chemische Bindungen zusammengehalten werden und wenigstens so lange stabil sind, dass sie z. B. spektroskopisch beobacht werden können. Es kann sich um neutrale Teilchen, aber auch um Radikale, Ionen oder auch ionische Addukte handeln. So sind z. B. viele Typen von interstellaren Molekülen unter irdischen Bedingungen nicht stabil. IUPAC nennt solche Teilchen molekulare Gebilde (molecular entity).

Czasteczka
Cząsteczka – (inaczej molekuła) - obojętne elektrycznie indywiduum chemiczne, złożone z więcej niż jednego atomu, które są z sobą trwale połączone wiązaniami chemicznymi.
Niegdyś definiowano cząsteczkę jako najmniejszą możliwą porcję związku chemicznego, która zachowuje jego własności chemiczne.. Zgodnie ze współczesną wiedzą definicja ta jednak wprowadza w błąd, gdyż nie istnieje techniczna możliwość wyodrębnienia tak małej porcji związku chemicznego aby faktycznie zawierała tylko jedną cząsteczkę, a następnie wykonanie na tej porcji eksperymentów dowodzących, że ma ona takie same własności chemiczne jak inne cząsteczki tego związku chemicznego.
