Maya (illusion)
Maya or Maya (Sanskrit ), in Indian religions, has multiple meanings, usually quoted as "illusion", centered on the fact that we do not experience the environment itself but rather a projection of it, created by us. Maya is the principal deity that manifests, perpetuates and governs the illusion and dream of duality in the phenomenal Universe. For some mystics, this manifestation is real. Each person, each physical object, from the perspective of eternity, is like a brief, disturbed drop of water from an unbounded ocean. The goal of enlightenment is to understand this—more precisely, to experience this: to see intuitively that the distinction between the self and the Universe is a false dichotomy. The distinction between consciousness and physical matter, between mind and body (refer bodymind), is the result of an unenlightened perspective.

Maya (Religion)
Die indische Göttin Maya (Sanskrit, f., माया, , Illusion, Zauberei) enthält mehrere Ideen. Sie ist eine kreative Energie (Prakriti), ein Status der geistigen Verblendung und eine personifizierte Gottheit. Die Göttin wird auch Mahamaya genannt ("große Maya") und gilt auch als Form von Devi. In abstrahierter Form spielt Maya auch in der indischen Philosophie eine große Rolle, vor allem im Vedanta.

Mâyâ
Le mot Mâyâ, de la racine MÂ (mesurer), a les sens suivants dans l'hindouisme : "1) faculté de mesurer, géométrie ; 2) sagesse éternelle, éternel pouvoir du Brahman (chez shrî Aurobindo) ; 3) puissance cosmique grâce à laquelle l'univers se manifeste et s'organise ; 4) Illusion cosmique qui conduit l'homme à prendre le phénomène pour le noumène ; 5) puissance d'illusion du Seigneur ; 6) Prakriti inférieure (selon shrî Aurobindo) ; la Nature (selon Râmana Maharshi) ; le monde (selon shrî Râmakrishna) ; 7) pouvoir mystérieux par lequel un Dieu manifeste sa souveraineté ; 8) la Mère divine (selon shrî Aurobindo) ; 9) puissance d'illusion (selon swâmî Ramdas) ; 10) apparence ; 11) magie".

Mâyâ (bouddhisme)
La reine Maya, encore appelée Mayadevi (devi : « déesse », titre honorifique des reines) ou Mahamaya (maha : « grande »), est la première épouse du roi Shuddhodana et la mère du Bouddha. Son nom sanskrit signifie « illusion ». En tibétain elle est appelée Gyutrulma.

Maya
Maya (hinduism)
Maya (sanskrit: māyā, av mā "inte" och yā "detta") är ett begrepp inom hinduism med flera betydelser. Vanligen syftar det på sinnevärldens universum som skapats av brahman, vilket upplevs som bestående av en stor mängd separata ting. Mayas "slöjor" är dock enligt hinduismen en illusion eller ett "spel" som döljer den fundamentala verklighetens enhet bakom den skenbara mångfalden. Detta kan liknas vid Matrix där den värld man känner inte är vad den verkar vara.

Maya
Maya to profesjonalny pakiet do tworzenia grafiki i animacji trójwymiarowej. Jest jednym z podstawowych programów tego typu używanych przy tworzeniu efektów specjalnych w przemyśle filmowym. Może być również używany do tworzenia modeli do gier 3D, animacji flash i innych.
Maya przez wiele lat miała praktycznie monopol na tworzenie wyrafinowanych efektów specjalnych w filmie. Początkowo ze względu na cenę (10000 USD) program był dostępny tylko dla największych wytwórni filmowych. Obecnie dzięki zmianie polityki cenowej (cena 2000 USD) jest dostępny dla szerszego grona użytkowników.

Maja (religia)
Maja - w wedyźmie była to nadprzyrodzona, iluzoryczna moc bóstwa w formie Dewi; manifestacja boskiej energii; w wedancie i buddyźmie ułuda zasłaniająca rzeczywistość. Maja bywa utożsamiana z Kali, Durgą itp.
W piśmie Dewi Mahatmjam, Mahamaja opisywana jest jako ta, która zakrywa oczy Wisznu podczas Joganidra (boskiego snu) w czasie, gdy całe stworzenie wtopione zostało w jego ciało.
