In Norse mythology, Máni was the god of the moon and a son of Mundilfari and Glaur. Máni pulled the moon through the sky every night, pursued by the wolf, Hati. At Ragnarok, Hati catches up to Mani, trying to consume it as one of the tragedies of Ragnarok.The Old Norse word máni is the everyday word for "moon".

Maní est une petite ville de l'État du Yucatan au Mexique. Elle se situe à quelque 100 km au sud sud-est de Merida et à seulement 16 km à l'est de Ticul. Ses coordonnées géographiques sont 28.23 degrés Nord et 89.24 degrés Ouest. Elle se trouve à une altitude de 26 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. En 2000, sa population s'élevait à 4664 habitants.

Mani (nordisch „Mond”, althochdeutsch Mano) ist in der nordischen Mythologie der Gott des Mondes.Er ist ein Sohn des Riesen Mundilfari (Myndilföri) und Bruder der Sonnengöttin Sol.Mani fährt mit einem von Pferden gezogenen Wagen über den Himmel. Seine Begleiter sind die Kinder Bil („die Abnehmende“) und Hjuki („der zu Kräften Kommende“). Mani nahm die Beiden zu sich, als sie von einem Brunnen kamen.

Mani, znany także jako Manes i Manicheusz (ur. 14 kwietnia 216 koło Seleucji nad Tygresem, zm. 26 lutego 276 r. w Gundiszapurze) to twórca manicheizmu. Urodził się w zachodniej Persji. Wychowywał się we wspólnocie elkazaitów, ruchu gnostyckiego działającego w III i IV wieku, wywodzącego się z chrześcijaństwa. W dwunastym roku życia Mani miał pierwsze objawienie. Drugie objawienie, które miało miejsce 12 lat później dało początek manicheizmowi. Poglądy religijne Maniego łączyły wpływy różnych religii, z których najważniejszy jest związek z zoroastryzmem.

Máni, nella mitologia norrena, era il dio della Luna.Era figlio del gigante Mundilfœri e di Glaur, nonché fratello di Sól.Quando arriverà il Ragnarök, Máni sarà raggiunto e divorato dal lupo Hati che lo insegue da sempre. I nordici spiegavano le eclissi di luna come i momenti in cui Hati era più vicino al carro della luna.
