Hungarian language
Hungarian ( ) is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, spoken by the Hungarians. It is the most widely spoken non-Indo-European language in Europe, based on the number of native speakers. Hungarian is the official language of Hungary and is also spoken by Hungarian communities in the seven neighboring countries and by diaspora communities worldwide.

Magyar nyelv
A magyar nyelv az uráli nyelvcsalád tagja, ezen belül a finnugor nyelvek közé tartozik.
A magyar nyelv legtöbb beszéloje Magyarországon él. Magyarországon kívül foleg a Kárpát-medence többi országában beszélik: Románia (foként Erdély), Szlovákia, Szerbia (a Vajdaság), Ukrajna, Horvátország, Szlovénia és Ausztria területén. A magyar nyelv Magyarország hivatalos nyelve és az Európai Unió hivatalos nyelveinek egyike. Ezenkívül a magyar az egyik hivatalos nyelv a Vajdaságban, valamint Szlovénia három járásában (Dobrónak, Orihodos és Lendva). A magyar nyelvet a világ nyelveinek sorában a 62. helyre teszik az anyanyelvi beszélok száma szerint.
