magical diet (magical diets)
System of "food magic" devised by Scott Cunningham (1956-1993), author of more than a dozen books on magic and/or witchcraft. Its postulate is that different foods "harbor" different "magical energies." For example, Cunningham recommended canned chili, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and iced tea for magical and physical "energy," and Seven-Up and fast-food fish sandwiches for "psychic awareness." He advised: "Avoid all fad diets."
