lunisolar calendar

A lunisolar calendar is a calendar in many cultures whose date indicates both the moon phase and the time of the solar year. If the solar year is defined as a tropical year then a lunisolar calendar will give an indication of the season; if it is taken as a sidereal year then the calendar will predict the constellation near which the full moon may occur. Usually there is an additional requirement that the year has a whole number of months, in which case most years have 12 months but every second or third year has 13 months.

Ein Lunisolarkalender oder Gebundener Lunarkalender (von lateinisch luna „Mond“ und sol „Sonne“) ist ein Kalender, der sich sowohl nach dem Lauf der Sonne als auch nach dem Lauf des Mondes richtet. Ein Lunisolarjahr oder Gebundenes Lunarjahr ist ein Solarjahr mit Mondmonaten.Die Umlaufdauer der Erde um die Sonne beträgt in der heutigen Zeit etwa 365¼ Tage, die synodische Periode des Mondes (Zeit von Neumond bis Neumond) etwa 29½ Tage. Das Jahr lässt sich also nicht ganzzahlig in Monate teilen. Daher werden etwa Schaltmonate oder Schalttage eingeschoben.

太陰太陽暦（たいいんたいようれき）とは、太陰暦を基にしつつも、閏月を挿入して実際の季節とのずれを補正した暦である。太陽太陰暦と呼ぶ場合もある。太陰太陽暦を太陰暦と呼ぶ場合もあるが、これは、太陰太陽暦が太陰暦から派生し、どちらも日は月の運行によって決められるという共通点による。純粋な太陰暦では、1回帰年の近似値である12ヶ月を1年とした場合、1年が354日となり、太陽暦の1年に比べて11日ほど短くなる。このずれが3年で約1か月となるので、約3年に1回、余分な1か月閏月を挿入して、ずれを解消した。閏月を19年(メトン周期)に7回挿入すると誤差なく暦を運用できることが古くから知られ、世界各地で行われた。ヨーロッパや西アジアでは紀元前45年1月1日に太陰太陽暦のローマ暦から太陽暦のユリウス暦へ移行し、それ以後は太陰太陽暦は主に東アジアを中心として使用された。
