LOOK, established at Nevers, France in 1951, was originally a ski equipment manufacturer. They produce bindings both under their own name, Rossignol, and Dynastar. This partnership with Rossignol (which later merged with Dynastar) makes LOOK one of the leading binding manufacturers in the world with Marker. In the 1980s they pioneered the use of "clipless pedals" for cycling applications, based on the equipment originally developed for ski binding. Essentially they used a spring-loaded device on the top of the pedal to hold a "cleat" which is bolted to the soles of a cycling shoe, requiring the user to twist their foot to force the device to release the hold. This is an improvement to the prior method which is to use clips to bind one's foot onto the pedal, and was touted as a safety improvement, called "pédales automatique" as it was easier to release.

Look ist ein französisches Unternehmen, das ursprünglich Skibindungen herstellte.Es wurde 1951 in Nevers gegründet.Die Einführung der Technik der Skibindungen bei Fahrradpedalen revolutionierte die Pedale. Man sprach lange von den zwei üblichen Bauarten, Hakenpedalen und Look-Pedalen. Heute ist Look ein etablierter Lieferant von Fahrradkomponenten und Fahrradrahmen. Er beliefert auch das Profiteam Crédit Agricole.

LOOK — powstała w Nevers, we Francji w 1951 roku firma, początkowo zajmująca się produkcją wyposażenia narciarskiego. Najbardziej znana z opatentowania w latach 80. XX wieku zatrzaskowych pedałów rowerowych. Produkuje też ramy rowerowe.

La parola look è una parola inglese che significa letteralmente "sguardo" e più in generale indica l'aspetto fisico, l'abbigliamento, insomma il modo di apparire. E' ormai entrata nel vocabolario comune italiano per indicare solitamente la grande varietà di stili e modi per conciarsi i capelli o abbigliarsi. Nella fascia di età giovanile ha sostituito la parola stile, ma con una connotazione più effimera e che nulla ha a che vedere con l'interiorità. Una persona può adottare cioè, a seconda delle situazioni, anche look molto diversi l'uno dall'altro senza per questo sentirsi in contraddizione.
