Chinese dragon
Chinese dragons are mythical creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore. In Chinese art, dragons are typically portrayed as long, scaled, serpentine creatures with four legs. In yin and yang terminology, a dragon is yang and complements a yin fenghuang ("Chinese phoenix").

Long/short equity
Long/short equity is an investment strategy generally associated with hedge funds, and more recently certain progressive traditional asset managers. It involves buying long equities that are expected to increase in value and selling short equities that are expected to decrease in value. This is different from the risk reversal strategies where investors will simultaneously buy a call option and sell a put option to simulate being long in a stock.

Longitude
Longitude ( or ), is a geographic coordinate that specifies the east-west position of a point on the Earth's surface. It is an angular measurement, usually expressed in degrees and denoted by the Greek letter lambda (λ). Points with the same longitude lie in lines running from the North Pole to the South Pole. By convention, one of these, the Prime Meridian, which passes through the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, England, establishes the position of zero degrees longitude. The longitude of other places is measured as an angle east or west from the Prime Meridian, ranging from 0° at the Prime Meridian to +180° eastward and −180° westward. Specifically, it is the angle between a plane containing the Prime Meridian and a plane containing the North Pole, South Pole and the location in question. This forms a right-handed coordinate system with the z axis (right hand thumb) pointing from the Earth's center toward the North Pole and the x axis (right hand index finger) extending from Earth's center through the equator at the Prime Meridian.

Geographische Länge
Die geographische Länge, λ, international mit long. (longitudo = lon., longitude = engl., frz. etc. „Länge“) abgekürzt, beschreibt eine der beiden Koordinaten eines Ortes auf der Erdoberfläche, und zwar seine Position östlich oder westlich einer definierten (künstlich festgelegten) Nord-Süd-Linie, des Nullmeridians. Sie wurde früher als Längengrad bezeichnet. Für die Bildung der geographischen Länge wird die Gestalt der Erde - trotz ihrer 'Abplattung' an den Polen - zu einer Kugel vereinfacht. Die geographische Länge ist ein Winkel, der ausgehend vom Nullmeridian (0°) bis 180° in östlicher und 180° in westlicher Richtung gemessen wird. Der Scheitel dieses Winkels ist der Mittelpunkt der gedachten Erdkugel, die Schenkel gehen vom Mittelpunkt aus durch den Nullmeridian bzw. den Meridian, auf dem der Ort liegt, dessen geographische Länge angegeben werden soll. Statt des Vorzeichens (traditionell +Ost, −West) ist auch O bzw. W zulässig.
- Orte mit derselben Länge liegen auf einem Meridian. Ein Meridian verläuft von Pol zu Pol und ist die Hälfte eines Längenkreises. Auf der Erdkugel ist ein Längenkreis (bestehend aus zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Meridianen) ein Großkreis.

Long (Mythologie)
Lóng (, viet. rồng, kor. ryong bzw. yong, jap. / ryū), der chinesische Drache, ist das wohl bekannteste Fabelwesen Chinas, wenn nicht des gesamten ostasiatischen Kulturkreises. Andere Schreibweisen sind nach Wade-Giles: Lung, und in einer anderen chinesischen Sprache: Liong.

Dragon chinois
Le dragon chinois, (sinogramme : trad. simpl., pinyin : lóng, Wades-Giles : lung²) est un dragon de la mythologie chinoise. C'est un symbole favorable de puissance et de pouvoir dans le folklore et l’art chinois, c’est la personnification du concept du yang. Le dragon chinois est associé avec le climat et l’eau ; selon la tradition, il existe une sorte de dragon qui apporte la pluie.

Longitud
Longitud eller geografisk längd är positionen i öst-västlig riktning, definierad som vinkeln mellan en storcirkel genom polerna på jorden och en godtyckligt vald nollmeridian. Som internationell nollmeridian används sedan 1884 meridianen genom Greenwichs gamla observatorium i London, närmare bestämt stora teleskopets huvudaxel. Tidigare användes ett antal nationella nollmeridianer, exempelvis parismeridianen och den i Ferro ("Världens ände"); i Sverige Stockholms gamla observatorium. Longituden räknas positiv 180 grader öst om Greenwich och negativ 180 grader väst om Greenwich. Longitudlinjen (meridianen) går alltså i nord-sydlig linje.

Dlugosc geograficzna
Długość geograficzna (ang. longitude; symbol λ) - jedna z współrzędnych geograficznych, kąt dwuścienny zawarty między półpłaszczyzną południka 0 (południka przechodzącego przez obserwatorium astronomiczne w Greenwich), a półpłaszczyzną południka przechodzącego przez dany punkt na powierzchni Ziemi.
Punkty położone na półkuli wschodniej, czyli na wschód od południka 0° do 180°, mają długość geograficzną wschodnią (symbol E), czasem nazywaną też długością geograficzną dodatnią. Punkty położone na półkuli zachodniej, czyli na zachód od 0° do 180°, mają długość geograficzną zachodnią (symbol W), czyli ujemną. Wszystkie punkty położone na tym samym południku mają tę samą długość geograficzną.

Smok chinski
Smok chiński, (w języku kantońskim: Lùhng; jap.: ryū, lub tatsu 龍/竜; kor.: yong 용; taj.: mungkorn มังกรจีน; wiet.: rồng) - stwór z chińskiej mitologii, z której trafił do innych kultur Azji Wschodniej, czasami nazywany na Zachodzie "smokiem orientalnym".
Zazwyczaj przedstawiany jako długie, wężopodobne stworzenie z wielkimi szponami, jest od dawna silnie zakorzenionym w folklorze i sztuce Chin symbolem mocy przynoszącej szczęście. Personifikuje też koncepcję yang, jego domeną jest pogoda, postrzegany jest jako władca deszczu i w ogóle wody. Wielu Chińczyków używa terminu "Potomkowie Smoka" jako swej identyfikacji etnicznej.
