Levorotation
Levororatory (also Laevorotation, Latin: laevus, left) refers to the substance that rotates polarized light in a counterclockwise direction. This rotation, measure in degrees, is said to be negative (-). A clockwise, positive (+), direction of rotation is called dextrorotatory (Latin: dexter, right).
