W wielu językach lemmą jest forma bezokolicznika (francuski aller, niemiecki gehen). Język angielski może używać zarówno form bare infinitive (go) albo full infinitive (to go). W łacinie i grece najczęściej wykorzystywana jest pierwsza osoba liczby pojedynczej w czasie teraźniejszym, jednakże okazjonalnie pojawiają się również bezokoliczniki. W arabskim, który nie posiada bezokoliczników, najprostszą z form posiada trzecia osoba liczby pojedynczej czasu przeszłego i to ją można spotkać w słownikach.
