Lapatinib
Lapatinib (INN), used in the form of lapatinib ditosylate, (USAN) (Tykerb/Tyverb, GSK) is an orally active drug for breast cancer and other solid tumours. It is a dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor which interrupts the HER2 growth receptor pathway. It is used in combination therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer. It is used for the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose tumors overexpress HER2 (ErbB2).

Lapatinib - lek przeciwnowotworowy opracowany przez firmę GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) stosowany w adjuwantowym leczeniu onkologicznym guzów litych takich jak: rak sutka i rak płuca. 13 marca 2007 roku lek ten został zaaprobowany przez FDA do leczenia zaawansowanych przypadków raka sutka z przerzutami w połączeniu z chemioterapią przy użyciu kapecitabiny. Nazwy handlowe: Tykerb (USA), Tycerb (Europa).

lapatinib
Medicamento que se usa junto con otro medicamento anticanceroso para tratar el cáncer de mama que es positivo al HER2 y que ha avanzado o se ha metastatizado (diseminado hasta otras partes del cuerpo) después de haber sido tratado con otros medicamentos. Lapatinib también está en estudio para el tratamiento de otros tipos de cáncer. Es un tipo de inhibidor dual de la tirosina cinasa de ErbB-2 y RFCE. También se llama ditosilato de lapatinib, GW572016 y Tykerb.
