Lanza
La lanza es un arma compuesta de una asta (palo-vara de madera o metal) en cuya extremidad está fija una hoja afilada o puntiaguda. Fue una de las armas primigenias del hombre en la prehistoria, y durante todos los milenios de la Historia acompañó a los guerreros de todas las épocas y regiones.
Decían grandes guerreros y militares de ellas, que "eran el arma reina de las batallas", por encima de todas las demás, pues su bajo coste de fabricación, su facilidad de uso a pie o a caballo, su alcance (Incluso algunas arrojadizas) y la potencia de punzada o golpeo, debido el largo "brazo mecánico" que es un asta, la hacían un arma formidable.
