kusarigama

Kusari-gama (Alt. Kasurigama, Nagegama) is a traditional Japanese weapon that consists of kama (the Japanese equivalent of a scythe) on a metal chain with a heavy iron weight at the end. Though the kusari-gama is derived from a farmer's scythe, and though the scythe was often carried as a weapon by farmers during the feudal era of Japan, it is important to note that these farmers did not carry kusari-gama. Its purpose as a weapon was very obvious, so unlike a scythe, it could not be carried openly. The art of handling the Kusarigama is called Kusarigamajutsu.

Le kusarigama est une arme blanche développée au Japon au siècle par des paysans, soucieux de se défendre. En effet, n'ayant pas le droit d'utiliser un katana, et étant trop pauvres pour acheter une lance, un couteau ou n'importe quelle autre arme, les paysans ont utilisé dans leur intérêt défensif leurs outils, comme les faucilles (kama), les serpes, les truelles (kunaï) et autres.

Die Kusarigama [] (jap. 鎖鎌, Kettensichel) ist eine okinawanische Kobudō- und japanische Bujutsu-Waffe. Sie entstand aus der Kombination zweier Waffen, Kama (Sichel) und Kusari (Kette), die an einem Ende mit einem schweren Eisengewicht versehen war. Obgleich bereits im 15. Jahrhundert bekannt, war der Höhepunkt ihrer Anwendung in der Muromachi-Periode.

Kusarigama - (jap.) Jedna z podstawowych i ulubionych broni Ninja. Była to kama z łańcuchem, na końcu którego znajdował się obciążnik, który sam w sobie mógł być zastosowany do ogłuszenia przeciwnika, natomiast dzięki łańcuchowi można było ofiarę złapać za szyję lub kończynę i przewrócić. Całość stosowana również jako lina z hakiem do wspinaczki. Dzięki niewielkim rozmiarom kusarigama była bardzo łatwa do ukrycia.
