Torwart
Der Torwart (Torhüter, Tormann oder Torfrau und Torspieler, auch Schlussmann; Schweiz: Goalie) ist ein Mitspieler einer Mannschaftssportart. Er ist der defensivste Spieler seiner Mannschaft, und seine Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, zu verhindern, dass das Spielgerät (z. B. ein Ball) ins Tor der eigenen Mannschaft gelangt. Daher wird er auch Torhüter genannt.

Doelman
Een doelman, keeper, goalie of doelwachter (m/v) is een speler van een sportteam die moet voorkomen dat de tegenstander een punt scoort. Hij of zij vormt de laatste linie in de verdediging van het doel. Bij sommige sporten gelden voor de doelman andere regels dan voor de overige spelers.Een doelman is onder andere bekend binnen de volgende sporten:voetbalhockeyhandbalijshockeywaterpololacrossekajakpolo Een team heeft maximaal één doelman in het veld staan. Meestal heeft deze ook rugnummer 1.De term keeper komt van het Engelse 'goal keeper'.

Goleiro
O (também chamado de arqueiro ou keeper no Brasil em tempos antigos) é um atleta presente em alguns desportos coletivos, como futebolfutsalhandebol, hóquei (tanto de patins, quanto no gelo e na relva), polo aquático, entre outros. A sua função é defender a baliza (ou gol no Brasil), evitando que o clube adversário faça golos (ou pontos). Justamente por a sua função ser diferente da dos demais jogadores, é protegido por regras específicas, enquanto jogadores são proibidos na maioria dos desportos de utilizarem alguma(s) parte(s) do corpo, o goleiro pode utilizar-se de qualquer parte do corpo para evitar que o clube adversário faça gols ou pontue. Mas essa permissão é restrita a uma área delimitada em torno da baliza.
