The kai-to is a type of small, motorized ferry serving remote coastal settlements in the Outlying Islands of Hong Kong.There are currently 78 fixed kai-to routes, mostly used to ferry passengers between the outlying islands of Lantau Island, Peng Chau, Cheung Chau, Lamma Island, among others, to the west of Hong Kong, and to enclave villages in the Tolo Harbour, Double Haven, Port Shelter, etc. in eastern New Territories.

街渡是香港的一種小型渡輪，主要提供水上客運服務，常見於大嶼山、坪洲、長洲、南丫島及其他離島等交通不便的地區，作為輔助一般渡輪。街渡由香港政府運輸署發牌及監管，現時香港總共有78條固定的街渡路線。街渡一般使用載客量較低的摩托船隻。而在香港仔避風塘，提供連接香港仔及鴨脷洲的街渡服務是使用傳統舢舨，吸引不少外地遊客一試。
