The Epistle of James is a book in the Christian New Testament. The author identifies himself as James, traditionally understood as James the Just, the brother of Jesus, first of the Seventy Disciples and first Bishop of Jerusalem. Framed within an overall theme of patient perseverance during trials and temptations, the text condemns various sins and calls on Christians to be patient while awaiting the imminent Second Coming.

Podawane są jako deser, z dodatkiem np. bitej śmietany czy bakalii, są także elementem dekoracyjnym ciast - stanowią najczęściej górną warstwę ciast biszkoptowych z kremem. Natomiast tak właśnie rozumiana galeretka nie stężeje z owocami ananasa i kiwi.

List św. Jakuba [Jk lub Jak] - jeden z listów apostolskich Nowego Testamentu, pochodzi od św. Jakuba. Tradycyjnie autora utożsamia się ze św. Jakubem Młodszym (zwierzchnikiem Kościoła jerozolimskiego). List jest napisany językiem bardzo poprawnym, niekiedy nawet wytwornym. W oryginale został spisany po grecku. Księga ta zawiera zbiór krótkich i zwięzłych pouczeń moralnych. Miał na celu zachęcenie chrześcijan do wytrwania w "słowie prawdy".

Con il termine marmellata si intende comunemente una preparazione semisolida dolce, o più raramente agrodolce, a base di vegetali a pezzetti e zucchero e cotta a lungo. Nella grande maggioranza dei casi è a base di frutta, ma non mancano esempi differenti come la marmellata di pomodori rossi o verdi oppure quella di rabarbaro. Dal 1982, per effetto di una direttiva comunitaria, solo prodotti ottenuti da agrumi possono essere venduti nell'Unione Europea con la denominazione di "marmellata", mentre tutte le altre preparazioni vanno chiamate confettura. Questa nomenclatura è dovuta all'influenza anglosassone, dove il termine marmalade era tradizionalmente usato solo per la famosa marmellata inglese di arancia amara.
