The Jaguar (Panthera onca) is a New World mammal of the Felidae family and one of four "big cats" in the Panthera genus, along with the tiger, the lion and the leopard of the Old World. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and on average the largest and most powerful feline in the Western Hemisphere. The jaguar's present range extends from Mexico (with occasional sightings in the southwestern United States) across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina.

Knott's Berry Farm is a brand name of two separate entities: a theme park in Buena Park, California, and a manufacturer of food specialty products (primarily jams and preserves) based in Placentia, California. Together, the two entities have almost a 90-year legacy in the United States. In addition, Knott's has developed three Soak City USA water parks in Southern California. The theme parks are now owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Co., and the food products are now part of ConAgra Foods.

Le jaguar est un mammifère carnivore, apparenté au léopard et de la famille des félidés (comme le tigre, le lion ou le chat). Son habitat naturel se trouve sur le continent américain : Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, Bolivie, Brésil, Guyane, nord de l'Argentine et au nord du Mexique, et son espèce s'est éteinte dans le sud des États-Unis (Arizona, Nouveau-Mexique). Son ancienne aire de répartition s'est réduite (voir carte) de près de moitié. Trois grands noyaux de populations sont relativement isolés, notamment par le canal de Panama, facteur de fragmentation écopaysagère s'ajoutant aux nombreuses routes faites en forêt, qui favorisent les coupes et la chasse légales et/ou illégales.

Jaguar (Panthera onca) - ssak drapieżny z rodziny kotowatych. Jest największym kotem Ameryki i przedstawicielem rodzaju Panthera (ryczących kotów). Trzeci największy kot po tygrysie i lwie, ale największy i najpotężniejszy kot półkuli zachodniej.Mimo że nie jest największym kotowatym, jaguar posiada najmocniejszą strukturę szczęk ze wszystkich kotowatych i drugą najpotężniejszą lądowego ssaka. Masa ciała waha się w granicach 90 - 120 kg u samców i 60 - 90 kg dla samic, z dużymi wariacjami wielkości w zależności od podgatunku. Największe okazy udokumentowano na mokrych sawannach, podczas gdy żyjące w bardziej zalesionych regionach jaguary przejawiają tendencję do bycia mniejszymi. Jest bardzo umięśnionym kotem ze stosunkowo krótkimi, masywnymi kończynami i potężnie zbudowaną klatką piersiową. Ten cętkowany kot jest bardzo podobny do lamparta, pomimo mocniejszej budowy ciała, jego zachowanie i cechy siedliska są bliższe tygrysowi.

Il giaguaro (Panthera onca) è il più grosso felino americano; solo il leone e la tigre pesano più di lui. Il nome «giaguaro» deriva dal nome attribuito a questo animale dagli Indios del Sudamerica: «Yaguar» o «Yaguara»; ma in tutta l'area in cui vive il giaguaro è chiamato alla spagnola «el tigre» (perché poi gli fosse affibbiato questo nome resta un mistero).
