Intrusion
An intrusion is liquid rock that forms under Earth's surface. Magma from under the surface is slowly pushed up from deep within the earth into any cracks or spaces it can find, sometimes pushing existing country rock out of the way, a process that can take millions of years. As the rock slowly cools into a solid, the different parts of the magma crystallize into minerals. Many mountain ranges, such as the Sierra Nevada in California, are formed mostly by intrusive rock, large granite (or related rock) formations.

Intrusion (Geologie)
Intrusion bezeichnet in der Geologie generell das Eindringen von fließfähigem Material in bereits existierende Gesteinskörper (z. B. auch von Salzstöcken oder weichen Tonen in die überlagernden Schichten).

Intrusion
Intrusion (nylat. intru´sio, av lat. intru´do 'tränga in') eller intrusiv betecknar både processen att magma tränger in i en bergartsmassa, och den magmatiska bergartskropp som uppkommer genom förloppet.

Intruzja
Intruzja (z łac. intrusus = wepchnięty) - zjawisko plutoniczne polegające na wciśnięciu się magmy w wyższe partie skorupy ziemskiej bez wydostania się na powierzchnię ziemi. Zastygająca magma tworzy skały plutoniczne.
Można wyróżnić dwa podstawowe typy intruzji:
- zgodne - ściany intruzji są zgodne z uwarstwieniem lub uławicowieniem starszych skał: sille, lakkolit (lakolit), lopolit, fakolit,
- niezgodne - ściany intruzji przekraczają niezgodnie starsze warstwy skalne np. dajki, żyły kominowe (nek wulkaniczny), apofizy, etmolit, harpolit, dajki pierścieniowe, batolit.

Интрузия
Интру́зия (интрузивный массив) — геологическое тело, сложенное магматическими горными породами, закристаллизовавшимися в глубине земной коры.
По взаимоотношениям с вмещающими породами выделяют согласные и несогласные интрузии. Контакты согласных интрузий конформны слоистости вмещающих пород. К согласным интрузиям относятся силлы, лакколиты, лополиты. Несогласные интрузии — дайки, штоки, батолиты; все они имеют секущие контакты, срезающие структурные элементы вмещающих толщ.
