information processing

Information processing is the change (processing) of information in any manner detectable by an observer. As such, it is a  process which describes everything which happens (changes) in the universe, from the falling of a rock (a change in position) to the printing of a text file from a digital computer system. In the latter case, an information processor is changing the form of presentation of that text file. Information processing may more specifically be defined in terms by Claude E. Shannon as the conversion of latent information into manifest information . Latent and manifest information is defined through the terms of equivocation (remaining uncertainty, what value the sender has actually chosen), dissipation (uncertainty of the sender what the receiver has actually received) and transformation (saved effort of questioning - equivocation minus dissipation) .

En général, le traitement de l'information est le processus de changement de l'information de toute manière détectable par un observateur. Comme tel, c'est un processus qui décrit toutes les choses qui arrivent (changement) dans l'univers, depuis la chute d'une pierre (un changement de position) jusqu'à l'impression d'un texte à partir d'un système informatique numérique. Dans ce dernier cas, un système de traitement de l'information (ordinateur) change la forme de la présentation de ce fichier texte. Le traitement de l'information peut plus spécifiquement être défini en termes par Claude E. Shannon comme la conversion d'information latente en information manifeste. L'information latente et manifeste est définie à travers les termes d'« équivocation » (incertitude résiduelle, quelle valeur a choisi l'émetteur), la dissipation (incertitude de l'émetteur sur ce que le récepteur a effectivement reçu) et transformation (effort économisé dans le questionnement - équivocation moins dissipation).

In generale, il trattamento dell'informazione è l'elaborazione dell'informazione in qualunque modo rilevabile da un osservatore. Come tale, questo è il processo che descrive ogni cosa che accade (quindi che cambia) nell'universo, dalla caduta di una pietra (un cambiamento di posizione) alla stampa di un file di testo da parte di un sistema informatico. Nell'ultimo caso, un processo informatico cambia la forma di presentazione di quel file di testo.
