Inflection
In grammar, inflection or inflexion is the modification of a word to express different grammatical categories such as tense, grammatical mood, grammatical voice, aspect, person, number, gender and case. Conjugation is the inflection of verbs; declension is the inflection of nouns, adjectives and pronouns.

Flexion
Die Flexion (von lat. flectere) (auch: Beugung, Biegung) bezeichnet in der Grammatik die Änderung der Gestalt eines Wortes (eines Lexems) zum Ausdruck seiner grammatischen Funktion innerhalb eines Satzgefüges. Dies geschieht mit Hilfe von Morphemen (Flexionselemente/Flexive). Sprachen mit Flexion besitzen einen so genannten flektierenden Sprachbau. Eine Flexion hat stets eine semantische Funktion und folglich auch eine pragmatische, so beim Kasus, Numerus, Genus und Tempus.

Flexion (linguistique)
En morphologie, domaine de la linguistique, on nomme flexion l'ensemble des modifications subies par le signifiant des mots d'une langue flexionnelle (ou agglutinante, dans une moindre mesure) pour dénoter les traits grammaticaux voulus. La flexion ne crée pas de nouveaux mots, au contraire de la dérivation.

Fleksja
Fleksja (łac. przeistoczenie (wyrazów), przemiana)
- dział gramatyki zajmujący się opisem form wyrazowych.
- odmiana wyrazów – wyróżnia się fleksję imienną (deklinację) oraz fleksję czasownika (koniugację).
- Błędy fleksyjne polegają na niewłaściwej odmianie wyrazów, np. błędne umią zamiast umieją, z Janem Matejko zamiast z Janem Matejką

Flexie
Flexie of inflectie is een morfologisch proces, waarbij de vorm van een woord wordt aangepast aan zijn grammaticale functie in de zin of, in het geval van bijvoeglijke bepalingen, aan het woord waarbij het hoort (→ congruentie).
Men onderscheidt:
- verbuiging of declinatie, bij (voor)naamwoorden
- vervoeging of conjugatie, bij werkwoorden
De mate waarin en de manier waarop flexie voorkomt verschilt per taal. Talen waarin flexie voorkomt worden flecterende talen genoemd.
