Humans, or human beings, are
bipedal primates belonging to the
mammalian species Homo sapiens (
Latin: "wise man" or "knowing man") in the family
Hominidae (the great
apes). Compared to other living organisms on Earth, humans have a
highly developed brain capable of abstract
reasoning,
language, and
introspection. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees their upper limbs for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of
tools than any other species.
DNA evidence indicates that modern humans originated in
Africa about 200,000 years ago, and they now inhabit every
continent,
with a total population of over 6.6 billion
as of 2007.

rock and roll /
frat rock band from
Youngstown, Ohio, originally known as The Human Beingz. The original line-up featured Dick Belly (vocals, guitar), Ting Markulin (vocals, guitar), Mel Pachuta (vocals, bass) and Mike Tatman (drums).The Beingz began their professional career with a devoted local fanbase, recording covers of songs by
Them, The
Yardbirds,
The Who and
Bob Dylan. The group was also the first to record a cover of "Gloria" by "Them" which became a hit for "The shadows of knight" and "The Pied Piper," which later became a #1 hit for
Crispian St. Peters. The group had a reputation as masters of song interpretation.

Der Mensch (Homo sapiens) ist innerhalb der
biologischen Taxonomie ein
Säugetier aus der
Ordnung der
Primaten (Primates). Er gehört zur
Unterordnung der
Trockennasenaffen (Haplorhini) und dort zur
Familie der
Menschenaffen (Hominidae). Unter den Lebewesen zeichnen den Menschen vor allem zahlreiche
kognitive Fähigkeiten aus. Diese konstituieren letztlich die menschliche
Kultur und Gesellschaft sowie die Fähigkeiten zur
Reflexion und
Transzendenz. Früher wurden Mensch (Hominidae) und Menschenaffen (Pongidae) insbesondere aufgrund der besonderen geistigen Entwicklung des Menschen als zwei getrennte Familien betrachtet, jüngere Untersuchungen sehen zwischen beiden Gruppen ein engeres Verwandtschaftsverhältnis und stellen sie daher in eine gemeinsame Familie. Der moderne Mensch ist die einzige bis heute überlebende Art der Gattung
Homo.

Ziemię. Człowiek anatomicznie współczesny powstał 200-150 tysięcy lat temu w Afryce. Mniej więcej 100 tysięcy lat temu dotarł na Bliski Wschód, ok. 60tys. lat temu do Australii, a prawie 40tys. lat temu do Europy (był to tzw. kromaniończyk, czyli człowiek z Cro Magnon- od nazwy stanowiska archeologicznego we Francji).
