HotDog
HotDog is the name of the
HTML web editing tool developed by
Sausage Software in the mid-1990s. At the time of its development, there were only a small number of HTML editors available on the market (such as
HoTMetaL) and HotDog gathered significant interest from web users (and then commercial users) due to its ease of use and
WYSIWYG interface. The program was developed by
Australian Internet entrepreneur Steve Outtrim. In 2000, the ownership of the product was sold from
Sausage Software and, despite still being called Sausage Software, is now run by a company unrelated to the Outtrim-founded Sausage Software.

Hot dog
A hot dog is a type of fully-cooked,
cured and/or
smoked moist
sausage of soft, even texture and flavor. It is usually placed hot in a soft, sliced bun of approximately the same length as the sausage, and optionally garnished with
condiments and toppings. The resulting product is often called a hot dog.
