H.O.R.S.E. is a form of poker commonly played at the high stakes tables of casinos. It consists of rounds of play cycling among: Texas Hold 'em, Omaha eight or better, Razz, Seven card Stud, and Seven card stud Eight or better. HORSE is a limit game, including hold 'em, although sometimes in tournament situations, like the 2006 World Series of Poker event, the final table is no-limit hold 'em.A H.O.R.S.E. tournament was held at the World Series of Poker in 2004 when it was won by Scott Fischman. The 2006 World Series H.O.R.S.E. tournament had a record-setting $50,000 entry fee and was won by David "Chip" Reese. The $50,000 buy-in tournament returned for the 2007 WSOP, along with seven satellite events with a $2,250 buy-in whose winners earned seats into the $50,000 buy-in event. The $50,000 event was won by poker professional Freddy Deeb. Separate H.O.R.S.E. events with $2,500 and $5,000 buy-ins were also on the 2007 WSOP program.

Koń domowy (Equus caballus L.) - ssak nieparzystokopytny z rodziny koniowatych. Koń został udomowiony w Mezopotamii i Chinach ok. 8-6 tys. lat temu. Przodkiem konia domowego były prawdopodobnie koń Przewalskiego i tarpan oraz wymarłe azjatyckie konie tundrowe i leśne. Ważna jest informacja, iż koń Przewalskiego wcale jeszcze nie wyginął, a tarpan odnajduje zamienną odmianę w koniku polskim. Takie same z wyglądu, stają się nowocześniejszymi potomkami wymarłych tarpanów. W styczniu 2007 zespół naukowców z Massachusetts Institute of Technology i Uniwersytetu Harvarda poinformował, że stworzył wstępną mapę genomu konia. Wysokość konia mierzy się w kłębie specjalną laską zoometryczną. Niegdyś najpopularniejsze zwierzę pociągowe, następnie wyparte przez maszyny (zob. traktor, kombajn). Dziś używany w celach rekreacyjnych, pociągowo jedynie w biedniejszych gospodarstwach. Jest źródłem koniny.

L'Equus caballus (Linneo 1758), o più semplicemente cavallo, è un mammifero ungulato di grossa taglia. Appartiene al genere Equus, unico della famiglia Equidae. Di antica domesticazione da una sottospecie estinta delle steppe asiatiche, il Tarpan , viene utilizzato come animale da sella, da tiro e da soma. È in grado di rinselvatichirsi e di sopravvivere autonomamente allo stato brado.
