Heat
Heat is energy transferred from one system to another by thermal interaction. In contrast to work, heat is always accompanied by a transfer of entropy. Heat flow is characteristic of macroscopic objects and systems, but its origin and properties can be understood in terms of their microscopic constituents.

Transfert thermique
Un transfert thermique, appelé plus communément chaleur, est un transfert d'énergie microscopique désordonnée. Cela correspond en réalité à un transfert d'agitation thermique entre particules, au gré des chocs aléatoires qui se produisent à l'échelle microscopique.

Cieplo
Ciepło - w fizyce to jeden z dwóch sposobów, obok pracy, przekazywania energii układowi termodynamicznemu polega na przekazywaniu energii chaotycznego ruchu cząstek (atomów, cząsteczek, jonów) w zderzeniach cząstek tworzących te układy; oznacza formę zmian energii, nie zaś jedną z form energii.
Dla odróżnienia ciepła jako zjawiska fizycznego od ciepła jako wielkości fizycznej używa się określenia wymiana cieplna lub cieplny przepływ energii na określenie procesu, a ilość ciepła na wielkość fizyczną określającą zmianę energii wywołaną tym zjawiskiem.
Ciepło przepływa między ciałami, które nie znajdują się równowadze termicznej, tzn. gdy mają one różne temperatury i wywołuje zwykle zmianę temperatury. Ciała te muszą pozostawać ze sobą w kontakcie termicznym - musi istnieć możliwość przepływu ciepła.

Pocisk kumulacyjny
Pocisk kumulacyjny – pocisk przeciwpancerny, w którym do przebicia pancerza wykorzystuje się strumień kumulacyjny powstający po eksplozji materiału wybuchowego, działającego na wkładkę kumulacyjną (cienkościenny stożek wykonany najczęściej z miedzi lub innego miękkiego metalu).
Ładunki kumulacyjne zaczęto stosować podczas II wojny światowej w minach przeciwumocnieniowych oraz pociskach granatników przeciwpancernych.
