Hay
Hay is grass, legumes or other herbaceous plants that have been cut, dried, and stored for use as animal fodder, particularly for grazing livestock such as cattle, horses, goats, and sheep. Hay is also fed to pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Pigs may be fed hay, but they do not digest it as efficiently as more fully herbivorous animals.

Heu
Als Heu bezeichnet man die getrocknete oberirdische Biomasse von Grünlandpflanzen (Gräser, Kräuter, Leguminosen). Es dient in der Regel als Futter für Nutz- und Haustiere. Abzugrenzen ist Heu von Stroh, einem ebenfalls halmgutartigen Koppelprodukt der Nutzung von Druschfrüchten (Getreide, Ölsaaten) nach Entnahme der Samen.

Attaque (escrime)
L'attaque est l'action offensive initiale qui s'effectue en allongeant le bras, la pointe menaçant la surface valable et coordonnée avec une progression des appuis vers l'avant (fente, flèche). Cette action donne la priorité aux armes conventionnelles (fleuret et sabre).

Foin
Le foin est un fourrage séché naturellement au soleil et destiné à l'alimentation des animaux domestiques herbivores durant la mauvaise saison. Les opérations qui permettent la préparation du foin s'appellent la fenaison. Pour obtenir une bonne conservation, il est nécessaire que le taux d'humidité de l'herbe soit ramené à 15 - 20 % maximum. Le foin est le mode traditionnel d'alimentation des troupeaux l'hiver.

Hö
Hö är vallfoder som har torkats. Förr torkades höet ute på fältet i hässja; idag sker det "på slag", liggande bredspridet på fältet 3-5 dagar, och vänds varje dag, en på grund av risken för regn vanskligare men ur arbetssynpunkt betydligt lindrigare metod än hässjning, eller inomhus på en skulltork efter att gräset förtorkats ute 1-2 dagar. Hö är även foder till gräsätare, så som hästar, kaniner, kor med flera. Det är en viktig del i djurets mat för att tarmsystemet ska fungera. När man ger hö till djuret ska man alltid ge mer hö än kraftfoder/pellets o s v.

Siano – skoszone w początkowym okresie wegetacji trawy, rośliny motylkowych i następnie wysuszone, zazwyczaj w warunkach naturalnych. Proces koszenia, suszenia i magazynowania to sianokosy. Siano to jedna z najważniejszych pasz objętościowych w żywieniu przeżuwaczy i koni.
