Goy (Hebrew: גוי, regular plural goyim גויים in Western languages) is a transliterated Hebrew word which translates as "nation" or "people". Historically and up to modern times it is a synonym for Gentile or non-Jew. Depending on the context, its use can be controversial or completely innocuous.

Eduard Franciscus (Ed) de Goey (* 20. Dezember 1966 in Gouda) ist ein ehemaliger niederländischer  Fußballtorhüter. Er spielte für Sparta Rotterdam, Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Chelsea und Stoke City. Er stand 31 Mal für die Oranjes im Tor, und war mit ihnen bei der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 1994 vertreten.

Goi (hebräisch גוי, Plural גוים Gojim; jiddisch גוי Goj, Plural גוים Gojim) ist ein hebräisches Wort, das Nation oder Volk bedeutet. Die hebräische weibliche Form für eine gojische Frau ist Goja, Plural Gojot (jiddisch Goje, Gojte, Plural Gojes, Gojtes), die adjektivische Form ist גוייִש gojisch auf Jiddisch. Das Wort wird generell für die Bezeichnung der Nichtisraeliten (Nichtjuden lo-jehudim) verwendet, obwohl der Begriff auch in der ursprünglichen Bedeutung (Volk, Nation) gebräuchlich ist.

Goj (z hebr. גוי goj = 'naród', l.mn goim) - określenie pojawiające się wielokrotnie w Torze, tłumaczone najczęściej jako "narody" czyli zwykle nie-Żydów, kogoś spoza narodu Izraela. Niektóre tłumaczenia Biblii pomijają słowo goj i zastępują je słowem narody, np. w Biblii Tysiąclecia (Księga Rodzaju 10:5 "Od nich pochodzą mieszkańcy wybrzeży i wysp, podzieleni według swych krajów i swego języka, według szczepów i według narodów"). W Torze słowo goj pojawia się 550 razy.
