Goud
The Goud (Telugu: గౌడ్) are one of the largest backward castes in India. The Goud are the majority community and caste in Andhra Pradesh, comprising roughly 15% of its population. Prominent Goud activities include toddy tappingliquor sales, Ayurvedic medicine, and farming. In olden days, before the arrival, Brahmins, the Edigas were warriors and enjoyed great respect and dominant position in the society.
