Glide ist eine von 3dfx eingeführte Grafikschnittstelle für Voodoo-Grafikkarten, die vor allem aufgrund ihrer einfachen Einbindung schnell Verbreitung fand. Glide wurde Mitte der 90er Jahre bekannt, da es für Computersysteme damals nur das zu dieser Zeit noch unbrauchbare DirectX und die für komplexe CAD-Systeme bekannte OpenGL-Schnittstelle gab. Glide bot damals einen schnellen, sehr sauberen Treibercode, welcher von einer großen Fangemeinde sehr geschätzt wurde.

Glide is een door 3dfx ontwikkelde software  api die ervoor zorgt dat ontwikkelaars van 3D games een zo hoog mogelijke performance kunnen halen met hun 3D graphics rendering software. Glide zorgt ervoor dat de interne hardware van 3dfx's Voodoo kaarten direct kan worden aangesproken, in plaats van via een "abstraction layer", welke er bij andere api's voor zorgde dat de api op elk type videokaart kon werken. Door de verbeterde performance van de OpenGL en DirectX api's wordt Glide tegenwoordig niet meer gebruikt.

Glide foi uma API proprietária para gráficos 3D criada pela 3dfx e utilizada em suas placas de vídeo Voodoo Graphics. Foi desenvolvida pra obter um bom desempenho em jogos, com suporte a aceleração de geometria (polígonos) e texturização inicialmente, em formatos idênticos aos utilizados internamente em suas placas, sendo responsável pela popularização dos aceleradores Voodoo e de seu predomínio durante o final da década de 1990. A popularização do DirectX e a implementação do OpenGL nas outras placas de vídeo contribuiu com o fim do Glide e de sua criadora.
