La geopolítica es la ciencia que, a través de la geografía política, la geografía descriptiva y la historia, estudia la causalidad espacial de los sucesos políticos y sus futuros efectos. La geopolítica también representó uno de los instrumentos para definir las estrategias de la colonización del mundo.
