Gascon (Gascon, ; French, ) is a dialect of the Occitan language. Gascon is mostly spoken in Gascony and Bearn (in the following French départements: a part of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Landes, Gers, the greatest part of Gironde, a part of Lot-et-Garonne, a part of Haute-Garonne, and a part of Ariège; and in the small Spanish valley Val d'Aran, in the Northwest of Catalonia). Around the world it is spoken by 253,814 people.

Le gascon est une variété dialectale de la langue d'oc ou occitan considérée parfois comme une langue à part entière au sein d'un groupe linguistique "occitano-roman". C'est la langue vernaculaire de la Gascogne, nom souvent utilisé aujourd'hui pour désigner l'espace linguistique qu'il recouvre.

Die gaskognische Sprache ist eine galloromanische Sprache, die auf dem Gebiet der historischen Provinz Gascogne im Südwesten Frankreichs sowie unter der Bezeichnung Aranesisch im Arantal im Nordwesten des spanischen Kataloniens gesprochen wird. Offiziellen Status besitzt das Gaskognische nur im Arantal.

Język gaskoński (Gascon) - język z grupy romańskiej, używany we Francji (Gaskonia) oraz w Hiszpanii (Vall d'Aran). Niekiedy uznawany za dialekt języka oksytańskiego. Bywa uznawany za dialekt języka francuskiego, jednak nie jest to uzasadnione z historycznego i lingwistycznego punktu widzenia. Odmiana, używana w Vall d'Aran, zwana aranese, określana jest jako dialekt języka gaskońskiego lub jako odrębny język. Inne dialekty: landais, béarnais i ariégeois. Obecnie zanikający.
