Gallium phosphide
Gallium phosphide (P), a phosphide of gallium, is a compound semiconductor material with an indirect band gap of 2.26 eV(300K). The polycrystalline material has the appearance of pale orange pieces. Undoped single crystal wafers appear clear orange, but strongly doped wafers appear darker due to free-carrier absorption. It is odorless and insoluble in water.

Galliumphosphid
Galliumphosphid ist eine binäre Halbleiterverbindung aus Gallium und Phosphor. Es wird seit den 1960er Jahren als Material für rote, orange und grüne Leuchtdioden verwendet. Schwefel oder Tellur werden zur Dotierung benutzt um Galliumphosphid in einen n-Typ Halbleiter, Zink um es in einen p-Typ Halbleiter zu verwandeln. Reine GaP LEDs emittieren grünes Licht mit einer Wellenlänge von 555 nm. Stickstoff-dotiertes GaP emittieren gelb-grün (565 nm), Zinkoxid dotiertes GaP leuchtet rot (700 nm).

Gap to miejscowość i gmina we Francji, w regionie Prowansja-Alpy-Wybrzeże Lazurowe, w departamencie Hautes-Alpes. Według danych na rok 1999 gminę zamieszkiwały 36 262 osoby, a gęstość zaludnienia wynosiła 328 osoby/km² (w 1990 r. wśród 963 gmin regionu Prowansja-Alpy-W. Lazurowe Gap plasuje się na 20. miejscu pod względem liczby ludności, natomiast pod względem powierzchni na miejscu 25.).
