This article is about the people of Papua New Guinea. For other meanings, see Fore (disambiguation). The Fore live in the Okapa District of the Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea. There are approximately 20,000 Fore who are separated by the Wanevinti Mountains into the North Fore and South Fore regions. Their main form of survival is swidden horticulture. The Fore language has three distinct dialects and is the southernmost member of the East Central Family, East New Guinea Highlands Stock, Trans-New Guinea phylum of Papuan languages.

Die Fore sind ein Volksstamm in Papua-NeuguineaDer Stamm der Fore lebt im Okapa Distrikt der Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, und zählt geschätzte 20.000 Mitglieder. Ihr Siedlungsgebiet von etwa 950 Quadratkilometern, grenzt im Norden an das Kraetkegebirge und im westen und Südwesten an die Flüsse Yani und Lamari. Der Stamm wird durch das Wanevinti Gebirge in das der Nord Fore und der Süd Fore geteilt. Die Fore betreiben hauptsächlich Landwirtschaft durch Brandrodung. Ihre Sprache kennt drei Dialekte und gehört zu den Ost-Neuguinea-Hochland-Sprachen.

Kentotis Alvin Foree (* 29. Februar 1948 in  Indianapolis), besser bekannt als Ken Foree, ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Häufig spielt er positive Charaktere in Horrorfilmen. Bekannt wurde er mit dem Film Zombie von 1978 mit der Rolle des SWAT-Beamten Peter Washington. Er spielte aber auch bereits Rollen in familienfreundlicheren Produktionen wie die des Familienvaters Roger Rockmore in der Sitcom Kenan & Kel des Kinderkanals Nickelodeon.

Fore - dzikie plemię zamieszkujące Góry Wschodnie w Papui-Nowej Gwinei. Do 1957 roku (według innych źródeł do 1959) jego członkowie byli kanibalami i rytualnie zjadali zmarłych członków swoich rodzin. Następnie, głównie przez kobiety i dzieci, nacierali sobie twarze ich mózgami. W tego wyniku chorowali na kuru. Czynnik patogenny przenikał przez skórę i spojówki. Po około dwudziestu latach inkubacji pojawiały się pierwsze objawy.
