A farm is an area of land, or, for aquaculture, lake, river or sea, including various structures, devoted primarily to the practice of producing and managing food (produce, grains, or livestock), fibres and, increasingly, fuel. It is the basic production facility in food production. Farms may be owned and operated by a single individual, family, community, corporation or a company. A farm can be a holding of any size from a hectare to several thousand hectares.

Unter einem Bauernhof versteht man einen landwirtschaftlichen Familienbetrieb, in dem die Mitglieder der Besitzerfamilie überwiegend praktische Tätigkeiten ausführen, oder auch die Hofstelle mit Wohn- und Wirtschaftsgebäuden dieses Betriebes.

Farm är i Sverige en större lantbruksgård, ofta drivet i form av bolag, som specialiserat sig på viss typ av storskalig djuruppfödning, exempelvis pälsdjursfarm, strutsfarm  och hönsfarm.

Bondgård även benämnd lantgård eller ofta enbart gård är en grupp byggnader med tillhörande mark som ägs eller brukas av en bonde för lantbruk, som oftast även inkluderar brukarens bostadshus.
