FALA (Forças Armadas de Libertação de Angola) the armed wing of UNITAAfter their training in China in 1965, the first military cadres returned to Angola, settled in the eastern part of the country and began the mobilization and recruitment of guerrillas. In this way, the first embryonic contingent of FALA was formed.The number of guerrillas increased with the growing number of UNITA members among the population, thus permitting effective military training. This enabled them to begin the mission of liberating the country from the claws of Portuguese colonialism, as proved by the attacks of 4th and 25th December 1966 on Kassamba and Teixeira de Sousa respectively. The first military regions were established along with their respective independent zones and operational fronts like Quembo, Lewa and the northern zone.

Kvaløya is an island in Finnmark county, North Norway. Its area is 336 km². It is situated in the municipalities of Hammerfest and Kvalsund. The city of Hammerfest is located in the eastern part of the island.The island is connected to the mainland of Norway in the south by Kvalsund Bridge.

Fala (* 7. April 1940; † 5. April 1952) war der Hund des Präsidenten der USA Franklin D. Roosevelt.Der schwarze Scottish Terrier trug, als Roosevelt ihn geschenkt bekam, den Namen Big Boy und wurde dann Murray the Outlaw of Falahill genannt. Unter seinem Rufnamen Fala wurde er weltberühmt. Er begleitete Roosevelt auf vielen Reisen, wurde in zahlreichen Reden des Präsidenten erwähnt und ist auch auf Pressefotos häufig zu sehen. Man musste eigens eine Sekretärin beschäftigen, um die Fanpost für ihn zu beantworten. Eine plastische Nachbildung des kleinen Hundes gehört auch zum Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, und ein 1942 über ihn gedrehter Film wird heute noch im Rooseveltmuseum gezeigt. Fala beherrschte zahlreiche Tricks, unter anderem konnte er seine Lippen zu einem „Lächeln“ verziehen. Er war auch bei Roosevelts Begräbnis 1945 anwesend und lebte später bei der Witwe des Präsidenten, Eleanor Roosevelt.

Samuel Oluyemi Falae (* 1939 in Akure), kurz Olu Falae genannt, ist ein nigerianischer Politiker.Falae absolvierte sein Studium an der Universität Ibadan und an der Yale University. Ursprünglich Bankier, war er Finanzminister in der Militärregierung von Ibrahim Babangida. Bei den Präsidentschaftswahlen in Nigeria 1999 war er gemeinsamer Kandidat der Alliance for Democracy und der All People's Party, verlor aber mit 37,22% Prozent der Stimmen gegen Olusegun Obasanjo von der People's Democratic Party. Als christlicher Yoruba hatte er den Südwesten Nigerias hinter sich, konnte jedoch in anderen Gebieten wenig Stimmen gewinnen. Heute ist Falae Großfarmer und Vorsitzender der neu gegründeten Democratic Peoples Alliance, einem Mitglied des Parteienbündnisses All Progressives Grand Alliance.
